Day 6 - On the way to the Village

Guangdong Province is very fertile. Lots of farmland on the way to the village.
This woman is riding what looks like it could be a wheelchair, but is turning this crank by hand. She's got 2 stools on the back! and is crossing a busy intersection.
The roads are mostly cars now, whereas 17 yrs ago, it was mostly bicycles. Our guide says the government encourages privately owned cars. We pass by several gas stations and notice gas is $4.68 yuan a litre (US$ 0.6128 per litre). I so wished I'd paid better attention in Math, but Google tells me 1 litre is equal to .264 gallons, which translates to US$2.32 per gallon, which is darn expensive for what these folks earn. Look at how well the median is landscaped?
We're here! This is about an hour from our hotel.
